Refund and cancellation
How deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for Filecornerbase education reporting engagements.

Eligibility
Refunds apply to fees paid for cancelled or reduced engagements as described below. Website browsing is free and not subject to refunds.
Deposits
A 40% deposit secures a reporting slot. Deposits are refundable in full if we cancel. If you cancel more than 14 days before the agreed kickoff date, we refund 70% of the deposit. Cancellations within 14 days of kickoff forfeit the deposit because calendar space cannot usually be refilled.
Work already started
After kickoff, fees for completed stages are non-refundable. Unused later stages may be partially refunded on a pro-rata basis if you cancel in writing and we have not yet begun those stages. Time already spent reconciling registers is billed against the deposit first.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule once without penalty if you give at least 10 days’ notice and we have capacity. Further reschedules may incur a HK$2,000 administrative fee.
No-shows
Missed kickoff or walkthrough meetings without 24 hours’ notice are charged as a half-day session (HK$2,100) against your balance.
Non-refundable items
- Completed final PDF deliveries once accepted or left unchallenged for 10 working days
- Third-party costs you authorised in writing (for example, specialised printing)
- Rush premiums for timelines under four weeks, once drafting has begun
Refund process and timing
Email info@filecornerbase.click with your engagement reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within five working days and process approved refunds within 15 working days to the original payment method where possible.
Exceptions
If illness or campus closure prevents access to agreed registers, we pause the timeline rather than cancel automatically. Force majeure events may allow mutual cancellation with fees limited to work completed.
